Listen into the Future
Listening into the Future is a practice into what becomes visible, or audible, when we stop trying to predict the future and start trying to attend to it. Less forecasting, more listening. Less certainty, more curiosity about what is quietly already arriving.

One day I was sitting with a cup of coffee, staring out, when a thought entered my mind: what if we changed the word look to listen? Instead of looking into the future, we listen into it.
The shift seemed small at first. But looking is something you aim — you choose a direction, you point your eyes. Listening is different. It is receptive. It asks for stillness. You hear what is around you whether you intended to or not.
That changes the question. If the future is something we look for, it is out there to be found. If it is something we listen for, it is already speaking — and the only question is whether we are quiet enough to notice.
This project is where I stay with that idea. It is not a finished framework. It is an ongoing inquiry into what becomes visible — or audible — when we stop trying to predict and start trying to attend.
The thinking develops in the Journal. Over time, what emerges will gather on Substack and in the Journal on this site. Follow along if you'd like to listen with me.
